I have been a full-time commercial real estate appraiser since 1992, and have appraised properties throughout the Hudson Valley, Capital, Saratoga, and Adirondack regions for finance, litigation support, estates, eminent domain, conservation, and other purposes.

I’m an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) of the American Society of Appraisers.

I also accept multi-discipline assignments involving real property (real estate) and other appraisal specialties such as personal property (fine art, antiques, furnishings), machinery and equipment, and business value through my membership in the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). ASA is a multi-discipline society of appraisers who work together to appraise the total property value in such assignments as hotels, hospitals, convenience stores, and others. ASA appraisers are unique in their ability to put together the right team of appraisers for the assignment.

I have specialized in very complex commercial, industrial, and vacant land appraisal, which gives me competency to review any real property appraisal.

Notable Appraisals

Watervliet Arsenal

70 buildings, some dating to 1814, including office, manufacturing, residential, and laboratory on a 130 acre military base. My assignment was to estimate the highest and best use of the complex and the individual buildings, rental values of the individual structures, and the sale value of the entire complex.

The Olana Viewshed

Olana, the 1870-1889 Moorish Italianate villa of Hudson River School painter, Frederic E. Church is considered the most important artist’s residence in the United States. Many of Church’s famous landscape paintings were inspired by the  views from his 250-acre estate. My assignment was to estimate the value of a conservation easement placed on land between Olana and the Hudson River, the viewshed that inspired many of his best-loved paintings.
